They perfectly paired best-selling Graber olives with roasted almonds, jumbo Medjool dates, and other local specialties. Once olive season is in full swing, the company will resume canning, preserving and shipping olives at the site. The company moved its olive crop location to the San Joaquin Valley many years ago. Graber, a fourth-generation member of the family, reported that business had doubled as a result. On Friday, he said the boom was so intense they’ve run out of olives to sell.

“I’ve been involved in the business, been on the property since I was a kid. It (the designation) is an honor,” said Robert Graber II, who does marketing, public relations and a bit of everything at the Fourth Street business. You’ll find a host of major national hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Wyndham, Sheraton Holiday Inn, Best Western, Ayres, Quality Inn, La Quinta, Travelodge and Motel 6 represented in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga. Since 1894, Graber Olives — fully tree-ripened with delicate, rich flavor and succulent texture — continue to be enjoyed by generations of families throughout the world. A "Panama paddle packer" machine creates a 200-degree steam bath as cans are sealed tight with aluminum lids.
